[ Rings the doorbell of Haruhi's house; she wasn't at school today and although there wasn't any closed space to worry about, he was still rather curious as to why she'd skipped. If she needed a reason why he was stopping by, he could always come up with something to say about the Brigade, he supposed. ]

[ he's chilling in Kaito's hospital room after school, reading a book; his condition isn't so severe any more that it's out of anxiety-- rather, he assumes Kaito will appreciate an explanation when he wakes up, which the doctors said should be sometime today. An assurance that his cover hasn't been blown, as well. ]

He still didn't have much of an idea of what he was going to say. "I'm glad you're back" had already been covered, and considering how talkative Minato was, there wasn't much more after that. But he'd said he was coming, and so Itsuki, currently hastily picking his schoolbooks up off the living room floor in an effort to look like he'd cleaned sometime in the past two weeks, would just have to improvise.

[ is waiting at the usual meeting place in the middle of town for Haruhi; she'd told him in no uncertain terms that he was coming shopping with her today, and although he had been a little bemused, he certainly wasn't going to refuse ]

[ Itsuki is at home in his apartment, on the couch with the cat on his lap, doing his homework; his apartment has gotten steadily messier over the past few days and his books are spread out over the floor. He's plainly having a bit of trouble concentrating and is currently distracted with his Rubik's cube, which he still hasn't completed ]

[ trying his best to unlock his apartment door with a very drunk Shiro propped up against him ]

At least you thought to call me before you got yourself into trouble. Remember that time with Batman?

[ Is sitting in a chair next to Cuddy's hospital bed, playing a game on his cell phone with the sound turned off ]

[ Fairly extremely worried about the sudden upswing in closed space again, Itsuki's found his way onto the TARDIS, and is searching diligently for Haruhi-- not that that's very easy in an unfamiliar place that's nearly infinite in size, so he's reduced to calling out every so often in the faint hope that she'll actually answer ]

Suzumiya-san? Where are you?

Evidently Itsuki wasn't familiar with the saying 'curiosity killed the cat'; he was currently waiting outside the ice cream shop downtown (she certainly still had the friendly kind female classmate persona down well, didn't she?) in his new clothes purchased the day before-- no point in letting a little change in gender stop him from figuring out exactly how much Asakura thought she knew, after all.

Itsuki sat on the steps outside his apartment building, waiting for Minato. He'd managed to find clothing in the back of his closet that fit him decently well, although he didn't look nearly as put together as he normally did; he'd be lying if he said he didn't need clothes that fit, but that didn't change the fact that the main point of this entire excursion was basically to see just how many ridiculous outfits it would take to get Minato to break his blank expression.

[ Itsuki shows up at the hospital with his face looking rather the worse for wear; he's cleaned up the blood but has a rather massive bruise going, and his nose doesn't look entirely straight. ]

Against his better judgment, Itsuki found himself preparing to open the present that he had found on his table. Asakura probably wasn't the type to give him something immediately dangerous, and his curiosity had finally got the better of him.

He neatly peeled the tape along the edges and opened the wrapping paper cautiously, ready to jump back at the first sign of anything startling, but all that he found inside was a very normal-looking box. As he lifted the lid, however, there was a sudden explosion of something inside; he leaped back, stumbling over the kitten who had been rubbing against his legs, and found himself sitting on the floor a little dazed, scraps of confetti still falling from the air.

He stood up, brushing off his hair and picking up the kitten; they both peered into the box to see an innocent-looking chess set. Itsuki reached forward to take it out, and then thought better of it, instead taking his cell phone out of his pocket and dialing a number.

"Nagato-san? It's Koizumi. I have a favor to ask of you."

With no particular plans for the day, Closed Space down to next to nothing, and the only person who ever surprised him with visits confined to bed rest, Itsuki was taking the day to make up for all the sleep he hadn't gotten over the last week and a half; after his time on the community that morning he'd crashed still in his clothes, and was currently sound asleep.

[ Itsuki is ringing Haruhi's doorbell, holding a shopping bag full of assorted snacks in one hand. If anyone had asked him about it, he would have said this visit was entirely to update Haruhi on the status of the brigade-- temporary leadership was an important responsibility. There was also the fact that Haruhi's mood was potentially universe-threatening, and it was his responsibility to check up on her.

Of course, then there was the fact that if none of that had been an issue he would have come to check on her anyway, but they were rather nice excuses. ]

[ At around 3 AM, Itsuki is creeping back up the driveway, somewhat awkwardly holding his left arm where a bruise is starting to form; he'd forgotten to leave the side door open, so he supposes he'll just have to risk the front one. Unlocking it as quietly as possible, he slips inside. ]

[ Apartment is cleaned, snacks are purchased, and now Itsuki is just waiting for Haruhi to show up. He's fairly curious as to why this is happening in the first place, but the last thing Itsuki wants to do is object to her. ]
